Anzac Day

28/04/2016
2016 Anzac Day at Wyreema State School
LEST WE FORGET

Students, staff and family attended the school’s ANZAC Service last Friday after Parade.  Our Student Leaders did an excellent job of leading the  service, reading The Ode and remembering each local service person from the World Wars as listed on the honour rolls in the Wyreema Hall.  Mrs Colleen Warren read a poem of significance, and Mr Anthony Stonefield and Mrs Sandy Tetzlaff gave short addresses about the meaning of ANZAC.  Each class had made a wreath and these were laid at the bottom of the flag and later moved to the Centenary ANZAC Memorial Garden.
