Welcome to Wyreema State School

Wyreema State School is a friendly, family orientated state school approximately 15 km from Toowoomba, tucked away in a safe, rural location. As a small school environment, we believe in the positive benefits of multi-age settings – student programs can be easily extended or modified within each class to cater for individual differences. We are able to offer individual attention to every student, creating limitless opportunities for personal and academic growth. Our students enjoy a high adult to student ratio. With committed staff utilising small group and one on one assistance as required, we ensure that all students continually improve in their academic, social and emotional learning.

Students socialise and play across grade levels using the spacious ovals, playground equipment, tennis courts and gardens. Our students and families are passionate about sport and physical activity and our school therefore participates in many of the local carnivals and interschool sports activities. We conduct swimming lessons as part of the curriculum in first and fourth terms. We highly value parent and community involvement in our school community, and we have an open door policy whereby we encourage parents to keep in regular contact with their child’s teacher. Families can also follow us on Facebook, to keep up to date with school happenings.

Wyreema State School is a dynamic school achieving quality education in a natural, country environment – a perfect place to grow and learn, for every child, every day.
