Year 1 Class News
What another busy and productive term in Year 1. In English, we have been reading and retelling many different traditional stories. We have been working hard on writing simple sentences and incorporating excellent vocabulary into our sentences. In Maths, students have been telling the time to the hour and half hour on digital and analog clocks. We now have many “student alarm clocks" in the classroom, every time that big hand is on the “12" or “6". In Science, we have been examining how our actions can physically change everyday objects and materials. We have been bending, stretching, rolling and scrunching a variety of materials and have used our knowledge to change the shape of a ball of playdough into a model object.
